Where we've been. Where we're going.

Where have we been?

Summer has been a whirlwind of trips, visits and activities.  It feels like summer has been so short, but so full.  We have lived my summer motto to the fullest.  And my blog... well... "oh well"...we were busy experiencing.

In July
-my whole family visited from Florida.
-we celebrated Zoe & Ana's birthday with a Brave movie theater party.
-we celebrated Zoe & Ana's birthday with a big annual family BBQ.
-Zoe & Ana did a week long gymnastics clinic at the Y.
-we went to LBI for a long weekend with Nick's family.
-we went to Florida to visit my family for 2 weeks.
-we squeezed in a couple playdates and a couple little friend birthday parties.

In August
-I went to BlogHer in NYC.
-we had siding put on our house.
-Zoe & Ana did 2 weeks of "fun camp" at the community house.
-we went to the Frelinghuysen Arboretum's birthday party.
-we saw The Wiggles in concert.
-I got my hair chopped off.
-we went on a week long cruise to Bermuda.
-we went with friends to the Bronx Zoo.
-we squeezed in a couple playdates and a couple little friend birthday parties.

Summer was jam-packed with family, friends & fun.  I don't know that we could have done any more than we did.  To make up for it we've been doing just about nothing for the last week.  Being lazy.  Wearing PJs until noon (or later).  Watching TV.  Playing on the computer.  It kind of feels like we've been having an end of summer hibernation.  Resting up for what's to come.

Where are we going?

Well, we're not really "going" anywhere.  We actually don't have a single trip scheduled.  But... life is getting ready to get busy again, that's for sure.

Zoe starts 2nd grade on Thursday.  After school she's going to be doing an animal program (after-school enrichment), keyboard lessons (piano), swim lessons, and Brownies.

Ana starts back to PreK on Monday.  After school she's going to be doing swimming and sports & games.

And me?  I think maybe the busy summer made me lose my mind just a little bit.  I'm going to be Ana's class mom, Zoe's class mom, and a co-leader for Brownies.  And I want to blog about all of the things we've done and are going to do.  I just might catch up by next summer!

Busy.  Busy.  Busy.

Does going insane count as going somewhere?
