Glitch (book review)
Glitch was written by Olivia Linden and Leteisha Newton. It is the first book in the Corporate Hitman series. This book tour has been organized by N K Author Services. I was provided with a copy in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
About the book:
Liam Gallagher, AKA Glitch, is the brain behind a trio of corporate criminals. Formerly known as one of the most notorious hackers in cyberspace, he now works to keep Hawk Global Industries one step ahead of its competitors.
But there's a catch. Being blackmailed to do what he does best isn't how Glitch plans to spend the rest of his life, and his partners in crime feel the same way. When an old flame crosses his path unexpectedly, Glitch and company learn that betrayal is on the horizon for them. It's time to put a plan in motion and reclaim their freedom, once and for all. Things are going to get pretty nasty along the way, even a little sexy, but it's all in a day's work for a Corporate Hitman.
*Intended for readers 18+ due to graphic language and adult content*
This book had me immediately reminiscing about movies like Hackers and Sneakers and WarGames... and characters from TV shows like Penelope (Criminal Minds) Felicity (Arrow) and Skye (Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D). TV and movies have an amazing ability to romanticize computer hackers into these exciting sexy people. Glitch was no different.
While Glitch (Liam) was completely transparent about really having just about no social skills... that didn't stop him from being completely hot. His brain worked in this brilliant analytical way that made him scary smart. Partnered up with Scratch (the money guy) and Jack (the muscle/kidnapper) the team is pretty much unstoppable. And... while they're all "bad guys" you just can't help but love them. I want to say that Glitch is and will always be my favorite of the 3... but I'm having a feeling like when we get to Jack's book, he might win me over (strong silent loyal type).
Whatever happens... I can tell you I want to continue reading the series to find out when, and how, they come up on top. Because I have no doubt they will.
