Frame It Easy--True to Its Name!

Recently, we finished a major renovation on our house. While I am totally loving the new space, I am definitely NOT enjoying the blank walls staring me in the face, and I am dreading all the searching and decision-making it takes to decorate multiple rooms. So, when Frame It Easy approached to try out their framing services in exchange for our opinion, I jumped at the chance to personalize our bare walls. I wanted to be sure that what we used to decorate our bedroom would evoke peace, happiness, and natural beauty. I decided to frame two photos I took at Bryce Canyon in Utah, one of the most magical and mystical natural sites I've ever seen. I am by no means a professional photographer, but at the national parks I've visited, even the most novice photographer can capture incredible images. Before kids, I even sold my photos on cards and in frames at craft fairs. I spent countless hours sending photos off to be enlarged, debating over just the right matting and frame at the local craft store, and working my fingers raw while framing the photos and attaching the hanging wires on the backs. So, I feel I know a thing or two about the hassles of self-framing!

Frame It Easy takes all the irritation out of framing, and, just as the name suggests, it really is easy! You can choose to buy just a frame, a frame with matte, or they will print your uploaded picture and frame the whole thing for you, making it completely ready-to-hang. The frame or frame with matte only option is perfect if you already have the artwork, photo, or poster, and especially useful if you are framing something that is not a common frame size.

To start, enter the dimensions of what you are framing. If you are uploading an image, there is a handy dandy sizing slide bar that shows you if your image has enough dots per inch to make it clear. Next, you select your frame material (wood or metal), style, and color (several colors of both wood and metal available). Then, the matting color and style (no matte, single matte, or double matte). As you make your selections, the site shows you what your final product looks like, so you can see how each matte color and style compliments your photo differently. (I must admit, this was the hardest part for me since I am so indecisive, but did love seeing all the choices!) Finally, you select your cover (clear or non-glare) and backing material, click "Add to Cart," pay, and your frame is on its way to you!

There are several things that impressed me about Frame It Easy. First, the final product!  It arrived just as it was shown on the site, and the quality of the photo printing and framing was superb! In addition to the Bryce Canyon photos, I framed a smaller photo of all the grandkids for my in-laws. The photo came out very clear, and looks great in the metal frame and navy matte. I purchased an additional EaselMate in the Accessories options so it could stand up on a bookshelf. I know that they will love this gift!

Second, the selection process was extremely easy and provided more choices than I would have been able to find in the store. Third, I really appreciated that the hanging wire was already attached, and the wall hooks and nails were included. Fourth, the packaging the frames came in was amazing. The frames were protected by several layers of cardboard and padding, and the box was firmly taped and strapped. They obviously want to assure that their product arrives in pristine condition. I think this would be especially good to know if you are sending the frames directly to someone as a gift. Finally, the customer service was excellent. I had a few questions while I was ordering. I couldn't find a phone number on the site, but it did direct you to submit your question and phone number in a form. I received a phone call from them in about 5 minutes and the person was very helpful.

The photos now grace the walls in our bedroom, and provide the peace and beauty that I wanted. Now that I know how easy the framing is, I'm excited to tackle the next rooms, too!
