Morristown Festival on the Green

Morristown's annual Fall Festival On The Green is back again for 2017, and should be better than ever this year. Coming up this Sunday (Sept. 24), the festival is fun for the whole family. It's rain or shine and runs from noon to 5 p.m. on the Green and surrounding streets. Food will be available from a variety of local vendors. New for this year is a beer tasting tent for adult attendees (you can buy tickets either in advance or at the door. Attendees can check out symphony bands, rock bands, the New York Red Bulls Street Team and more. Entertainment will be on four different stages, as well as bouncy houses for kids, and roaming entertainers.



Thomas & Friends: Explore the Rails @ LSC

Liberty Science Center

New Exhibit running through May 2018

Thomas, Percy, Sir Topham Hatt, and the rest of the Sodor gang are coming to the Liberty Science Center! In this hands-on exhibit, kids can help Thomas and his friends solve a variety of challenges, from sorting shapes to building tracks. Little engineers can climb into Thomas' cab, fix Percy's wobbly wheel, suit up as a conductor, play with an oversized Thomas train table, and more. The exhibit combines play opportunities complemented by important concepts in sicence, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Click here for directions and parking details.



Wings and Wheels Expo 2017 - A Salute to Veterans

A family event featuring WWII Airplanes, helicopters and other unique aircraft, military vehicles, vintageand contemporary show cars, and live entertainment.



Wool Making @ Fosterfields Farm

Sunday, September 24, 1 - 2:30 pm

Wool for the War! Meet the Fosterfields’ sheep, and clean, card, and spin their wool. Try your hand at knitting, an important WWI-related home front activity that helped the troops.

$4 for children, $6 adults



After School @ the Museum

Museum of Early Trades & Crafts

Tuesday, September 26, 4:15 - 5:15 pm (and repeats through early December)

The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts (METC) invites students in 1st through 5th grades to a new program on Tuesdays in Fall 2017, After School @ the Museum. This hands-on experience will engage students to learn, create, and explore the worlds of historic tinsmiths, carpenters, printers, and candle makers. Guided by METC's professional museum educators, students will learn tool safety, get hands-on experience with historic tools, and then design and create projects that will be presented to friends and family at the final session.
