Tween Book Club (5th-8th grades)
Genre for the month: Dystopian! If you need help finding a book, please see a librarian. No assigned books – read what you want in that particular genre. By the end of the meeting, we’ll pick a new genre.

Gobsmacked! The Amazing A Cappella and Beatboxing Shot

Mayo Performing Arts Center
Seven incredible singers and beat-boxers create pure musical magic guaranteed to leave you with a song in your heart and a smile on your face. Featuring world champion beatboxer Ball-Zee and a cast of world-class vocalists, Gobsmacked! weaves stories through all forms of a cappella, from traditional street corner harmonies to cutting-edge, multi-track live looping. It is funny, joyful and uplifts the spirits of all ages.

President's Day Glassblowing Class
Monday, February 19, 10 am - 4 pm
Morris County School of Glass
Spend President's Day at a Glassblowing class. Gain exposure to the world of art and creativity in this action-packed day of glass blowing. This unique program introduces the science and art of glass blowing to youth. This class will give students the rare hands-on experience of learning the many facets of glass blowing while exploring their own creativity and making beautiful glass mementos.
All students need a waiver to participate. 5+ years and up
President's Day Kids Camp
Monday, February 19, 10 am - 12:30 pm
Kids will enjoy and create:
- Cheese tasting
- Insalata (HANDS ON)
- Homemade spaghetti (HANDS ON)
- Vanilla gelato (HANDS ON)
The menu contains eggs, gluten and dairy.
President's Day @ Morris Museum
Monday, February 19th, 10 am - 5 pm
Special activities at the museum from 12 - 2 pm, on this day include:
- Make a paper plate presidential face mask
- Create a colorful quill pen
- Access activity sheets and informational handouts about Presidents in history.
- Play presidential bingo with our educator and historian Emma Fredericks in the classroom (There will be two sessions/rounds of bingo only at 12:30 and 1:30pm. Seats are first come first serve).
