Scream on the Green

Friday, October 18th - 6 pm
Dare to venture into the night and have some haunting-ly good entertainment and ghoulish goodies at Scream on the Green, a scary spin-off of our summer movie series.
Before the movie, get moving during the Monster Mash Dance Party or warm up around the bonfire with some free s'mores. Swapping ghost stories is encouraged. As always, movie-goers will be able to pick up a grab-and-go dinner from the featured food truck.

Seton Hall Weekend
Friday, October 18th - Sunday, October 20th - various times
Head to Seton Hall University for a fun weekend celebration of community spirit and of the close ties enjoyed by alumni, students, faculty, staff, and neighbors. Enjoy outdoor performances, arts and crafts, rides, carnival games, theater performances, campus tours, and sporting events.

Fall Bird Walk
Liberty State Park
Saturday, October 19th - 10 am - 12 pm
Located along the Atlantic Flyway, Liberty State Park is home to over 250 different species of birds. Explore varied habitats and learn to identify some of resident and migratory bird life.
Please dress to be outdoors and bring binoculars if you have them. There are a few pairs available to borrow.

Happy Haunts @ The Red Mill
Red Mill Museum Village, Clinton
Through October 26th - various times
Stop by this low/no scare event designed for kids and squeamish adults. Each group of about 6 is escorted through the Mill by a friendly guide, to keep the ghouls and zombies at bay.
There is also a hayride, face painting, donuts, cider and pumpkins.
$10, free for ages 2 and under

Whippany Rail Museum
Sunday, October 20th - Trains depart 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4 pm
The Whippany Railway Museum is a fun, safe place to bring the kids and enjoy the Halloween Season. Ride aboard our 10-mile, 45-minute round trip, spooky fun "Halloween Express."
Children of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes, helping to make the train a kid-friendly spooky sight. Tricks or Treats will be given out to passengers onboard the trains.
