Creating Seed Bombs

Madison Public Library

Friday, May 25, 3:30 - 5 pm

With spring comes flowers... and with flowers come bees! Learn about which flowers are best for bees, why bees are important to the environment, and how to make a seed bombs. Each teen patron will leave the program with wildflower seed bombs to take home!

Please register if attending -- supplies are limited. We will be doing this activity in the courtyard, rain or shine!

This teen program is for 5th grade through 12th grade.


Cooking with Kids

Healthy Italia, Main Street, Madison

Saturday, May 26, 11 am - 1 pm

If you know a kid who loves to cook, join him/her in the kitchen to create an authentic Italian meal together while making memories. Cost includes one adult and one child age 5-16. Additional participants can be paid for separately.

You will enjoy:

  • Panzanella salad (HANDS ON)
  • Baked chicken cutlets (HANDS ON)
  • Chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows

The menu contains eggs, gluten, dairy and meat.

Opening Weekend @ Sunrise Lake Beach Club

Lewis Morris Park, Morris Township

Saturday, May 26 - Monday, May 28, 11 am - 6:30 pm Kickoff summer at the beautiful Sunrise Lake Beach Club. Relax on the beach, enjoy a boat ride, or challenge your child to a race on the Wibit. $7 per adult, $6 per child & senior (65+), FREE age 4 & under.



Madison Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 28th, 9 am

Downtown Madison

If you're in town for the long weekend, come out and honor those who have given so much. Parade begins at 9 am but get a spot early and grab a bagel while you wait!


Holy Trinity Greekfest

Thursday, May 31, 5-10 pm (runs through Sunday, June 3)

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Westfield

This four-day celebration is packed with activities and fun, including live music, dancing, a kid zone and delicious homemade Greek food.

$2 donation at the door.
