March is Maker Month and there is so much creativity for the whole family this week!


Makers Day @ METC

Saturday, March 23rd - 11 am

Museum of Early Trades & Crafts

METC's Makers Day pays homage to the early makers and craftspeople who created textiles and fabrics that were artistic as well as utilitarian.

Fiber artist Anne Choi of Middle Brook Fiberworks, will answer questions and demonstrate a variety of weaving techniques. Staff will also guide participants in creating woven strand. Makers Day is a statewide event that celebrates and promotes maker culture, as well as the values associated with making, tinkering, crafting, manufacturing and STEM-based learning.

The Cat in the Hat

Everyone’s favorite cat comes to life at SOPAC in this theatrical adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic. From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that The Cat in the Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met.

With the trickiest of tricks and the craziest of ideas, he is certainly fun to play with. And he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure. But what will Mum find when she comes home?

NJ Makers Day

Saturday, March 23rd - 1 - 3 pm

Madison Public Library

From high tech experiences such as 3D printing to no-tech crafts like sewing, Makers Day is sure to be a great time. Visit with local Madison merchants demonstrating their skills as well as trying some yourself.  The goal of NJ Makers Day is to facilitate connections among NJ residents by exploring new and interesting opportunities for community wide education, entrepreneurship and hands-on learning experiences.

Madison Chamber of Commerce Camp Fair

Sunday, March 24th - 10 am - 3 pm

Madison Community Arts Space, Kings Road

The Camp Fair is a summer fun resource fair for families in the area. Parents are invited to come and gather valuable information and options to keep their children enriched and entertained during the summer months. Admission is free for consumers.
