Maple Sugaring Demonstrations
Great Swamp Outdoor Environmental Center
Saturday, February 2nd - 1 pm & 2:30 pm
Families can learn about the process of maple sugaring from start to finish—you'll identify and tap maple trees, collect sap, and make syrup over a wood-fired evaporator. Afterward, taste-test different syrups, including syrup made at the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center.

A Winter’s Day on the Farm
Fosterfields Living Historical Farm
Sunday, February 3rd - 12 pm
Join an exciting, outdoor family adventure, and experience traditional farm life as it was in the early 20th century. Enjoy an open-air, tractor pulled wagon ride, meet the friendly farm animals, learn the importance of ice harvesting and what tools were used, and help with daily farm chores.
Visit the cozy Farmhouse, and follow the inviting scent of seasonal foods cooking on the wood-burning cook stove.
$8 per adult, $7 per senior (65+), $6 per child age 4 - 16, and $4 per child age 2 & 3. FREE for children under age 2. Friends members are half price with a current membership card.

The Day the Rainbow Broke Up presented by the Maplewood Strollers
Burgdorf Center, Maplewood
February 1st - 10th - various times
The Maplewood Strollers presents "The Day the Rainbow Broke Up" by Casey Bell. This story for children of all ages poses the question of what might happen if all the colors of the rainbow decided to strike out on their own. Each color learns about cooperation, friendship, and the beautiful power of diversity before the rainbow is once again united and brilliantly arched across the sky.
