New jersey State Fair: Sussex County Farm & Horse Show

The New Jersey State Fair/Sussex County Farm and Horse Show features horse shows, live entertainment, carnival rides and games, exhibits, delicious food, and more.

For more than 70 years, families have enjoyed loads of entertainment, including a petting zoo, pig races, K-9s in Flight, a horse show, agricultural demonstrations, demolition derbies, tractor pulls, and a STEAM pavilion. 

Please note that the fair will close at 5pm on August 11.

Tickets: $6 children, $14 adults

Model T Ford Day

Fosterfields Living Historical Farm

Saturday, August 3rd - 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

Calling all car enthusiasts. Join an exciting day on the farm featuring restored Model T’s from near and far. Enjoy fascinating lectures, hands-on activities and demonstrations for all ages, food and live music, and more.

Discover how to crank and drive the cars, learn about the history of Henry Ford, and stop by Fosterfields’ own Transportation Exhibit. This event is co-sponsored by the Friends of Fosterfields & Cooper Mill.

Morris Township National Night Out

Tuesday, August 6th - 5 - 9 pm

Mennen Arena

Families are invited to join the Morris County Park Police and more than 40 law enforcement and community agencies for an evening of awareness and fun. The evening includes free food, entertainment, ice skating, and giveaways.

Kids can also explore a variety of emergency vehicles including fire trucks, police motorcycles, squad cars, ambulances, all-terrain and military vehicles, and more.

Zoo-Vies @ Turtle Back Zoo

Turtle Back Zoo

Turtleback Zoo presents free screenings from the top deck of the zoo's parking garage. Enjoy sunset, a great view, and a fun film all in one evening. Bring your own lawn chair and snacks or buy munchies from a concession. Films begin at dusk and are weather-dependent.

This week’s film is Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse

The garage is outside zoo grounds and film-goers do not need to pay zoo admission.
