Summer Camp: Junior Archeologist

Museum of Early Trades & Crafts

Friday, August 23rd - 10 am - 2 pm

Discover what it is like to be an archeologist! Excavate objects at a miniature archeological dig, then clean them and catalog them in your own archeological journals. Come explore what can be learned from the things that we dig up. This program is ideal for campers entering Grade 3 and up. Registration is required for this event.

Summer Concert Series

Outside the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts

Friday, August 23rd - 6 - 8 pm

Bring a chair, and maybe even a picnic, along with your loved ones for some music in the great outdoors! This week, Jumping the Gun is performing.

Beach Walk & Volunteer Clean Up

Liberty State Park

Saturday, August 24th - 10 am - 12 pm

Come on out to Liberty State Park for a beach cleanup and scavenger hunt at Caven Point. Meet in Lot #3 on Morris Pesin Drive and then walk over to our beach area. Please be advised there is over a mile of walking involved.

Also, please be sure to dress to be outdoors and wear old shoes that can get wet and muddy (no open toed shoes or flip flops). If it is a hot day, sunscreen and water are also recommended. Gloves and bags will be provided for picking up trash.

Pre-registration is required.

Industrial Crafts Day

Copper Gristmill, Chester

Saturday, August 24th - 11 am

Discover early industrial crafts with exciting hands-on activities and demonstrations by a blacksmith, tinsmith, tin piercers, weavers, and spinners, and create your own craft to take home.

Crafters will have handmade pieces available for purchase.

All Ages

Suggested Donation of $3 per adult, $2 per senior, $1 per child

Downtown Cranford

Sunday, August 25th - 11 am - 5 pm
