Apple Picking/ Cider Donuts
We have so many great farms around us, Alstede, Riamede, Wightman's, just to name a few BUT I LOVE to get the best cider donuts at Hacklebarney Farm. They serve fresh baked goodies, such as pies, cookies, bars, and DONUTS! Stop by the cafe or the store on your way back from many of the surrounding apple picking farms.
Open Thursday - Sunday from 10 am - 5 pm
Teen Cooking Class @ Healthy Italia
Teens will prepare, from scratch, their own risotto dish!

Sussex County Harvest, Honey & Garlic Festival
It may be a bit of a schlep, but these sounds too good to pass up!
This Festival is a celebration of agritourism, ecotourism and arts & heritage tourism. The County of Sussex, the Sussex County Beekeepers Association and the Garden State Garlic Growers are joining with the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show to showcase New Jersey's great northwest.
There will be a farmers market where you can buy fresh, local Sussex County and Jersey Fresh products including fruit, vegetables, flowers and wine. The Sussex County Beekeepers Association will have educational displays and materials along with an array of honey products. For those who are into all things garlic, you'll have plenty to choose from with the Garden State Garlic Growers. The Festival will also include displays and information from environmental, agricultural and heritage organizations highlighting northern New Jersey's great open spaces and history. There will be activities geared for children and lots of vendors for the adults.
