Apple Picking: A Peaceful Premium

Did you catch the SNL skit on Apple Picking? Its timing couldn’t have been more perfect. For the past few weeks I’ve been bemoaning this fall tradition. It has nothing to do with the experience and everything to do with the expense. To begin, choice is everything. We get to choose what we do and how much pay for it, which I’m thankful for. But early on in parenthood I was blindsided because I failed to research and paid a considerable amount for apples, hayrides, pumpkins, and corn mazes. Listen, it was a good time. In fact, it was a lot of fun. But sometimes simple is my thing.
