Resolving to add a little more Mr. Clean to my schedule.

This New Year cleaning resolution tips post is brought to you by Mr. Clean as part of a Type-A Parent Community Sponsored Post. When Nick and I met and were dating he and his brother owned our house and had friends rent rooms from them.  (My house was a little like a small frat house.)  Because no one really wanted to be responsible for cleaning the house for anyone else, they had cleaning ladies.  When Nick and I got married we bought out our house... and the cleaning ladies just kept coming.  12 years later and the same 2 cleaning ladies come to our house.  They only come once a month now, but they do the "heavy lifting" parts of the house cleaning.

I'm going to make a major confession right now.  I, Colleen from @AMadisonMom, am a lazy cleaner.  I know, I know... no one likes cleaning their house.  (Unless you like cleaning for some crazy reason I don't understand.)  But I don't just dislike cleaning... it's like I have a physical aversion.  I just can't seem to make myself do it.  So... thank goodness for my angelic cleaning ladies.  They save me from toilets and soap scum and mopping and major scrubbing of any sort.

That said, I am still a lazy cleaner.  It's not like once a month is REALLY good enough for keeping a house clean.  I'm not talking about the clutter that accumulates with a normal family (but thank goodness I'm forced to deal with the clutter the night before the cleaning ladies show up!!!)  I'm talking about normal spills from a normal family (including an over achieving 5 year old spiller and general mess maker).

Not only am I thankful for my cleaning ladies, I'm thankful for my dear friend Mr. Clean.  Mr. Clean has been this mom's friend ever since his Magic Eraser removed ALL of Zoe's swirly art work from my TV room wall 5ish years ago.  Let me tell you... Magic Erasers are a mom and lazy cleaners best tool.  (Moms... if you don't keep your closet stocked in Magic Erasers you need to change that right now!)

It doesn't get easier than Magic Eraser.  But, once again, Mr. Clean has decided to make my cleaning dreams come true.  A little gel and water on a paper towel and my counter is spotless and shining.

No scrubbing.  All Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle.

So... while I'm not resolving to become and all star house cleaner... I'm totally resolving to keep Mr. Clean as my friend.  He definitely makes keeping clean easier.
