Long Overdue (book review)

banner Long Overdue was written by Tara Andrews.  This post was organized by N K Author Services.  I was provided with a copy in exchange for my honest book review.  All opinions are my own.

About the book:

Long Overdue-high-resJill Malone has been looking for love for all the wrong reasons. A reality check has her signing up for a no-strings attached night to simply forget about forever after. The last thing she expected was to know her blind date.

Blake Anders doesn’t need help finding a date, but he’s tempted by 1Night Stand’s reputation of arranging exactly what a person needs. And he needs more. Though doubtful, he agrees to one night and hopes to discover his perfect match. He didn’t count on Madame Eve reaching deep into his past to give him a night with the woman he never forgot.

Fearing another broken heart, Jill works to keep herself from becoming attached, but Blake goes all in to convince her that he wants their long-overdue love to be more than a one-night stand…

My review:

I loved the idea of this book.  I'm happily married... but it's interesting to wonder, if I wasn't, and I ran into someone I had a crush on in my past... what would happen if it ended up they had been attracted to me as well?  Would a spark reignite?  Really interesting story idea.

This book is part of the 1Night Stand series... but is absolutely able to stand on it's own.  The little bit of  magic that Madame Eve of 1Night Stand seems to have in setting up matches is fascinating... even though she's barely part of the story.  Is she some sort of fortune teller?  Does she  have magic background research skills?  How does she find these perfect matches?

I hope we see more couples matched up with 1Night Stand!
