Farm to Feast: Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Dates
Whether you think you like dates or not, you will LOVE these bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese. It is the best three ingredients ever combined: a little savory, a little sweet. These make a great appetizer to bring to a holiday party. Cook them ahead of time and just reheat when you get there!
1 lb bacon
9 oz pitted dates
4 oz goat cheese log
Preheat oven to 425°.
Cut a slit in dates lengthwise. Stuff with about 1/2 tsp goat cheese each.
Cut bacon slices in half and wrap the dates in the bacon.
Place, bacon seam side down on a foil lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until bacon is to your desired doneness.
Remove from baking sheet and place on a paper toweled line dish to drain the bacon fat a bit (a minute or two).
Let cool before devouring!!
