I recently found out that the Kings Supermarket (grocery store?  food store?) in Short HIlls, NJ offers an entire series of cooking classes in their special Cooking Studio.  They have demonstration classes as well as participation classes... and I was excited to see they have special classes set up specifically for different child age groups to attend with an adult.

Dynamic hands-on cooking classes and demonstrations.

Kings offers a full line of cooking classes for all ages and interests. From the avid home cook looking for some new recipes and techniques, to kids just getting started in the kitchen, Kings Cooking Studio has something for everyone.

After seeing the descriptions of the upcoming Valentine's Day themed classes I really couldn't decide whether to take Zoe to the Cupid's Treats class on February 2nd (for 5-9 year olds) or to take Ana to the Tasty Heart Treats class on February 3rd (for 3-5 year olds).  So... I decided to go to both classes!  Each girl is going to get a little special alone time with Mom (while the other gets some alone time with Dad!)

Tasty Hearts Treat Class (3-5 year olds) 2/3 @10am. $50

If you're in the Short Hills area make sure you check out all that the Kings Cooking Studio has to offer.  They seem to have a little bit of everything... from learning the basics to learning the recipes of your favorite local chefs.  I'm really excited to take the girls to the parent/child classes.  I know they LOVE to cook... and I'm sure we're in for a great time.  (I'll make sure to update you all after we take the classes!)
