5 Favorite Things in and around Madison, NJ: September 1 - 8

It's Labor Day weekend and, for those of us still sticking around town, there is still so much to do! 5 favorite things

 

1. Boonton Firemans Carnival & Parade

September 1 - 6 Carnival runs from THURSDAY, September 1 (6:00 pm) through SUNDAY, September 4 Parade is on September 3, 2016 – starts at 1:30 pm. Fireworks will be Sunday night (9:30ish) (rain Monday night) Boonton High School Field; 306 Lathrop Ave, Boonton, NJ website

2. Mendham Borough Labor Day Parade & Carnival

September 2 - September 5 10 am - 9 pm Carnival is open Friday through Monday. Parade is on Monday. website

3. First Friday Late Night: Music on Main

SEPTEMBER 2, 2016 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM MAIN STREET BOONTON Businesses will be open late which means that you and your kiddos can totally indulge in some delicious frozen treats at Scoop House at 813 Main Street. Believe me, you won’t regret it! There will also be sales, socializing, dining, art, and shopping. Enjoy live music up and down the street all evening long! 4. Red Letter Day band @ Short Stories

Friday, September 2 @ 8 pm Check out this LA kids rock band at our own local bookshop, to help benefit the Valerie Fund’s Camp Happy Times! website

5. Apple Pancake Breakfast at Alstede Farms

Sunday, September 4 8 am - 12:30 pm Prices range from $7.99 for breakfast only (kids) to $19.99 for breakfast and farm fun. website
