Montclair Jazz Festival

Nishuane Park, Montclair

Saturday, August 11th, 12 - 9 pm

Nishuane Park in Montclair presents this annual jazz extravaganza, with nine hours of live jazz performances. This year's headliner is Grammy award-winning pianist, composer and bandleader Eddie Palmieri. 

The all-day festival includes a 2nd stage in the Family Jazz Discovery Zone, featuring storytime with our headlining artists, performances by more than 150 Jazz House Kids students, a beer garden, parking shuttle, bike valet and concessions. Event takes place rain or shine.

Butterflies for You & Me

Fosterfields Living Historic Farm, Morris Plains

Meet at the Cottage Garden, and try nature journaling to explore how butterflies are valuable to a garden. This program is dependent on the weather.

$6 per adult, $5 per senior, $4 per child age 4-16, $2 per child age 2 & 3, FREE per child under age 2.

Zoo-Vies at the Turtleback Zoo

Wednesday, August 15

Turtleback Zoo presents free screenings from the top deck of the zoo's parking garage. Enjoy sunset, a great view, and a fun film all in one evening. This week's movie is the Pixar gem Ratatouille! Bring your own lawn chair and snacks or buy munchies from a concession. Films begin at dusk and are weather-dependent.

The garage is outside zoo grounds and film-goers do not need to pay zoo admission.
