And, okay, it’s technically not super close but I have to mention the NJ State Fair, Sussex County Farm & Horse Show, August 5-14 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds!! Open 10 am - 10 pm August 5-13 and 10 am - 5 pm on August 14. There are horses, goats, oxen, dogs, sheep, alpacas and pigs!!!! There are hands on art workshops. There’s farming info, and garden expos. There are tractors! There are carnival rides!! I mean, come ON!! So much fun for kids. Oh, and there’s food.
